Meeting after 33 years

I was elated today on meeting a person again after 33 long years. His name is Chinnaswamy and he was a staffer in my Father's office. It was as if I had met a missing family member. There's reason to it. I did my schooling in a boarding school as my Father was posted (Forest Range Officer) in Topslip, Anamalai hills and there was no school in the place. And when my family shifted to Ooty on transfer, I continued my studies in the same school and Chinnaswamy uncle was my guardian for 6 years, and visitd me during the weekends. I was so excited on meeting him that I even forgot to photograph him. He enquired about my brother and sister - we all three were brought up by him for say three years - and we shared the lovely memories. I'll quote a few...
I'll tell you how my brother Prabu got his name. My parents originally named him 'Vel Murugan'. He was only a few months old when my Mother brought him from her home town to Topslip. It was during that time, Prabhu the cinema actor - he was a teenager then I believe - visited Topslip and even dined at our place. He was lovely and instantly my Father and Chinnaswamy uncle liked him very much that my Father started calling my brother 'Prabu'. The name 'Vel Murugam' was forgotten; and is mentioned only in the horoscope.

It was transfer time for my Father. He was posted to Pollachi depot and all were busy packing and loading the goods on to the waiting truck. My Mother used to rear livestock - they were in hundreds - and all safely locked in their pens. My sister, that time only five years old, cooly set all the livestock free. The hens and cocks were all over the place and my Father got wild and wanted to know who was behind this. He thought it was me, but luckily I was munching something and gave the honours of opening the pens to my sister. She got away as she was my Father's pet. Meanwhile, Chinnaswamy uncle was in the truck loading the goods when my brother wanted to be with him. He was crying to be boared on the truck. As such my Father was angry and he got a chance to vent his anger. Prabu was thrashed before he was snatched by Chinnaswamy uncle. More to share...
